Hey, I'm Ms. Flack!
This is my fourth year of teaching and also my fourth year at Plato! I graduated from the Unversity of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am also ESOL and reading endorsed. I was born and raised in Palm Harbor and when I'm not teaching in the Summer, I work at Camp Cubber as a middle school counselor. My favorite thing about teaching is laughing and growing with my students each school year. Each year, I learn so much from my students and I love getting to know all their different personalities. One of my strengths is incorporating technology in the classroom for an engaging and differentiated learning experience. Some of my favorite things to do in my free time is to hangout with my family and friends, read, walk trails, go to parks and beaches, and binge watch shows (we all do this). The kids will learn very quickly that I'm goofy and talk about my cat, Sassy, a lot. I'm pretty certain that's how my students from last year would describe me. As for my interests, you will learn very quickly that I am a hardcore Swiftie lol. I also love alternative bands. My favorite books are thrillers, which is ironic because I hate scary movies. I am a Harry Potter fan. My class and I last year did the Pottermore house test and posted our houses on the wall. I'm personally a Ravenclaw. My kids last year decided my cat, Sassy, is a kind hearted Slytherin. My favorite character from HP is Professor Severus Snape. Of course, I collect the books I read, but I also really love getting plants. I find them calming, which is also why my classroom is cactus/plant themed. |
